League takes place on Monday nights
– Organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. on the first Monday following Labor Day
– Weekly shooting follows except for holidays, hunting season, etc.
– 20 matches between September and April — see schedule
– 3 convenient starting times available each night (5:30pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm)
Shooting and scoring usually takes about 1-1/2 hours.
Any 22 pistol can be used
– Either red dot or iron sights allowed
– Bring your own pistol or rent one from Bill’s
– Bring / buy about 100 rounds
Costs
League Fees = $20 for season (funds used for trophies and door prizes at end of season)
Weekly discounted lane and target fee of approximately $18 each match
Course of Fire and Scoring
All targets at 25 yards (all the way out on a lane)
Slow Fire rounds use standard 9½ inch B-16 targets
Timed and Rapid Fire rounds use 20 inch B-8 official 25 yard targets
Each match consists of 90 shots, each shot worth up to 10 points, with a maximum possible score of 900 points. Shooting and scoring are as follows:
Target #1 — Slow Fire Match = 20 shots in 20 minutes. 200 points possible
Target #2 — Slow Fire portion of the National Match Course = 10 shots in 10 minutes. 100 points possible
Target #3 — Timed and Rapid Fire portions of the National Match Course. 200 points possible
Timed Fire Portion = 2 five-shot strings in 20 seconds per string
Rapid Fire portion = 2 five-shot strings in 10 seconds per string
Target #4 — Timed Fire Match = 4 five-shot strings in 20 seconds per string. 200 points possible
Target #5 — Rapid Fire Match = 4 five-shot strings in 10 seconds per string. 200 points possible
Only your best 16 of the 20 possible match scores are utilized for computing annual standings
Trophies for both 1- and 2-handed division leaders
– One-handed divisions compete by class levels so shooters compete only against their peers
– First 3 match scores will determine classification of a new 1-handed shooter:
(Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert or Master)
