In June of 2003, John Monson purchased Bill’s Gun Shop & Range in Robbinsdale. At that time, John’s focus was to take a new approach to the good-old-boy’s smoky gun shop, and make it a destination location that welcomes the whole family; starting the venture of Bill’s Gun Shop & Range. He added the Circle Pines MN location in May of 2005 and the Hudson WI location in December 2012.  By this point, this new approach to Gun Shops had caught on and John opened the Fargo, ND location in 2015. Due to the need of a quality Gun Shop across the border in MN, John opened a shop in Moorhead, MN at the beginning of 2016.

Outside of professional interests, you will find John hunting and fishing as often as time will allow. He also enjoys spending as much time as possible on the lake with the family.

Corey was born in MN then raised in Hudson WI. Shortly after graduating from Hudson High School, he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served for 4 years while also attending Wesley College in Delaware. The US Air Force served as Corey’s foundational formal firearms training where he served in various military theaters around the globe.  He is as passionate about firearms as he is about his advocacy in supporting and protecting the rights that he fought for in his military service. This passion is the main driver for becoming an instructor. Corey’s instruction philosophy is closely intertwined with his learning philosophy – every encounter should be an opportunity to grow, learn from one another and become better prepared and more confident. His interest in mental preparation and the physiological effect of combat help guide discussion while focusing on the most important tool we will use if confronted with a Deadly Force encounter – our brains.

Corey has shot competitively for production and film companies, for qualification and certification purposes,  and for training in youth organizations. Most importantly, however, he shoots for fun.  When UPS has several small 50+ lbs packages to deliver, they know to turn down Corey’s street. Corey has used his NRA certifications to teach Utah, MN and WI concealed carry courses and is currently teaching Multi State Carry course along with other classes at Bills Gun Range in Hudson WI. “I spend most of my day talking to people about guns, regardless of whether or not they have an interest. It is a special treat to be an instructor where the conversations are met with enthusiasm!

Sarah grew up in Euclid MN, a small farm town north of Crookston. It was easy for her to start shooting at a young age, especially when her dad owned a private gun shop. She would ride along during hunting trips and shoot targets her dad would set up in the back yard.
As a Ladies Night instructor, Sarah loves helping women get comfortable around firearms and teaching proper skills for beginners. Her favorite part is when ladies come in intimidated or nervous then leave the range with a new found confidence in themselves. She loves creating a fun and engaging environment for women who have never stepped foot on the range. Like a lot of women who come in to learn how to shoot, Sarah would also like to obtain her conceal carry permit in the near future.
Outside of Bills, Sarah loves to do her own nail art, work out, and sell wedding dresses on the weekends. She and her fiancé also have a fur baby together, a French bulldog named Braxton .
